Dr. Sharmaโs current mission is to volunteer and serve the cause of promoting Integrated Wellness to prevent, control and reverse the epidemic of heart disease In India.
He has created a heart disease reversal program by combining Evidence-based innovative scientific knowledge of Western medicine with time-tested lifestyle practices of ancient Indian wisdom including Yoga and Naturopathy.

Current Mission
Situated in Bengaluru at S-VYASA Deemed To Be University. This is India's first centre for integrative cardiology. The Integrative Cardiology program reverses coronary artery disease by combining the transformational wisdom of yoga with aggressive lifestyle modification and state-of-the-art modern medical concepts.
He was the former president of Maryland Heart Associates and an interventional cardiologist with board certification. From 1993 until 2022, he worked as an interventional cardiologist in Maryland, where he was affiliated with the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. In addition to being a member of the American Society of Preventive Cardiology (ASPC), he is also a Fellow Emeritus of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK), and a Member of the Physician Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).
He received his general cardiology training at Manchester University and Leeds University in England. Furthermore, he completed his training for an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Henry Ford Heart and Vascular Institute in Detroit, Michigan. In 2016, he shifted his focus to Integrative Wellness after 25 years of working as an interventional cardiologist.
His belief in the benefits of integrative wellness has been reinforced by reading scientific research, reflecting on his own health transformation, and hearing from participants of the Integrative Wellness Science & Practice program about their health improvements. In his view, the integration of modern science with traditional Indian knowledge provides a strong foundation for an integrated approach to living, which can be used to prevent, manage, and even reverse lifestyle-related illnesses.
Since its inception, the online version of the program has benefited thousands of participants worldwide by applying principles of Integrative Wellness for lifestyle transformation. Hundreds of participants have also engaged in the self-directed online 12-module programs. Additionally, several hundred participants have continued to follow the weekly connect segment of the Integrative Wellness Science and Practice program.
